43 Pessoi
With 43 Pessoi in a pond (1989) Tzatzalos catches the interactions between sun, wind and plants for the passers-by to enjoy and experience the almost painterly reflections of water lilies and cloud formations. The 43 fragile columns were placed at equal distance from one another, a sunlight based grid Tzatzalos imposed upon the structure.
Reflections of the beams of a slide show in rotating red copper plates (Hellas in Holland, 1989) form an environment in which the beholder is confronted with interactions between image, sound en light. The image of Venus was hereby reflected in the metal plates, matching the perceptable sequence of television images of 25 per second. In this installation Tzatzalos choose to present fragmented images in a kind of procession dictated by the elements, and by the fractions of time.
